How to Sell Aluminum Cans & Get Paid to Recycle Drink Cans

Here is another opportunity to make money while you are between jobs or needing a 2nd income.

Aluminum cans are great for recycling. The scrap aluminum from beverage cans can be reused in products by simply re-melting the metal. Not only can you make a little money recycling your beverage cans, but recycling is good for the environment since the recycling process is much less expensive and less energy intensive than creating new aluminum.

If you are laid off, unemployed, or simply on a tight budget and looking for creative ways to supplement your income, this article has 10 tips that will help you sell your aluminum cans and recycle your drink cans for cash.

Squidoo to Retire Upmarket Business Magazine

Squidoo is retiring their Upmarket magazine. Launched about 8 months ago, the content and feel of Upmarket was geared towards business owners and entrepreneurs. With its niche following, Upmarket has focused on insider business tips and techniques through targeted articles.

In mid August, Upmarket will be retired from the regular Squidoo magazine line up (which includes GoodVeg, SoCrafty and a new home decor magazine called  'Cozy.') The existing business pages (known as "lenses" on Squidoo) will still be live, but no longer promoted in magazine form, and the Upmarket theme will no longer appear on the lenses.

Squidoo is a community of writers and web pages where self-employed writers and photographers can earn a little money creating web pages about various topics.

You can find my 4 Upmarket pages at:

There really is something called a pyramid scheme, but it is important to clarify that the term "pyramid scheme" has frequently been misapplied as a term to describe all multi-level marketing (MLM) businesses, as well as government and capitalism (see t-shirts below).

Should You Invest in Iraqi Dinar? Five Points to Consider About Buying Iraq's Dinar

The Iraqi Dinar is a hot topic on discussion boards like dinarvets.com, nenosplace.com and investorsiraq.com where people have been debating the pros and cons of investing in the devalued currency of Iraq. It appears most of those who post on these boards are in favor of investing some disposable funds in the currency based on the fact Iraq's currency was devalued as part of economic sanctions which are expected to be lifted soon.

Why You Should Consider Network Marketing for Extra Income in Today's Economy « Seekyt

Why You Should Consider Network Marketing for Extra Income in Today's Economy

This shop girl recently opened her own shop via a network marketing business because the unemployment rates were so high, I had few other options. Here are a few reasons I think everyone should take a 2nd look at network marketing during this economy.

Part I of a 2-Part Series
In early 2011, The Tennessean carried an article called: "Out of work, some invest time, savings in franchises." This article focused on the problems a significant number of Americans are facing as they find themselves losing their jobs to cut-backs, layoffs, business closures, and outsourcing. The writer described the pros and cons of buying a franchise along with the following advice: “Jumping into business by buying a franchise doesn’t come without risks, though. Costs can run from $20,000 to several hundred thousand dollars to get started. And not all franchise parent companies offer their offspring the same level of marketing, back-office and sales support.” This is why a growing number of Americans are now taking a good, hard look at network marketing opportunities.

How to Lose Your Car to a Car Repair Shop Without Defaulting on a Bill

Many people do not realize that a vehicle can be impounded by an automotive place even if there is no problem with payment for services. I lost a vehicle to a repair shop in Tennessee which kept it for months without repairing it and then refused to return it. To my shock, I found out the law would probably be on their side.

Converting Analog Television to Digital TV Not Working For Millions of Americans

75_604799.jpg
I'm one of the millions of Americans who are without television as the converter boxes don't work on my old TV set. I have wasted too much of my life since February trying to make the digital converter box work and nothing works. You can read the full article at "Converting Analog Televisions to Digital TV Not as Easy as Promised"

After going through the same frustrations, a friend bought a new digital TV at Walmart for $168, and she is going to have to return it, because even with the new TV, she still can't pull in a regular, reliable signal -- $200 wasted on a new TV that won't pull in a digital signal.

Sell Aluminum Cans & Recycle Soda Cans for Cash in Tennessee

After losing my shop girl job in the terrible economy and high unemployment rate of March 2009, I needed to find some quick ways to earn income while I looked for a job. Recycling soft drink cans for cash is one of the ways I have paid for small bills or purchases:

In an effort to bolster my sagging finances since being laid off, I have had to get creative about ways to supplement my income while looking for employment. Converting Older Analog Televisions to Digital TV Not as Easy as Promised

I own not one but two Magnavox DTV Digital to Analog Converter # TB1110MW9 boxes which I will probably be stuck with as I am having problems making the conversion from analog to digital and Magnavox won't stand behind their product. It all started when the government decided to force television stations to stop analog broadcasts and to convert to digital by June 12, 2009 to free up airwaves for use by emergency responders.

Protect Yourself from a Con Artist or Scam - Yahoo! Voices

Protect Yourself from a Con Artist or Scam - Yahoo! Voices

This article was inspired by my bad experience this past Christmas when this shop girl was scammed at a "charity" event and provides some tips on how to protect yourself and your business from scams and con artists:

This past Christmas , I had a disturbing experience when I was asked by someone on a mutual Mayberry list to help him promote a charity event to benefit children with terminal illnesses. He sent me an email requesting I promote this event to all my internet groups and Social Networks for him, and then he asked me to supply some Mayberry poetry books he could sell with a percentage of proceeds going to benefit the charity. The only thing I did right on the front end was to decline to just drop off books.
